May 29, 2007Parisbakery - brioche and croissantwalk to the pont neuf and cross to ile de la cite palais de justice, courthouse, saw st. chapelle but too long a line to enter notre dame - inside, around, tower, ruins in excavation - beautiful climbed toweer to view from top ile st louis with beautiful houses and streets, marie curie's house bread and cheese in park on seine for lunch boat ride (Batobus) on seine eiffel tower, lines too long to go up boat back to ile st. louis crepes on ile st louis one with pears, ice cream, chocolate sauce the other with chestnut cream and whipped cream walked around marais and saw shuls and many jewish shops bought kosher chicken sausages from artisanal sausage maker, Boucherie David window shopped for clothing, shoes on Rue de Rosiers and stopped in Anne Blatt yarn store Walked east to Place de Vosges Ate dinner at Il Dome du Marais - fois gras, white asparagus, cote de beuf, souffle, chocolate crepes |
